L6s come away with a 2-0 win against Oxford Uni 4s

The first attack of the game was a short corner for Oxford University in the first minute, but Hawks dug deep and defended it well. We made some great long passes and were unlucky not to score or earn a foul in the opponent’s area.  Oxford university were a very athletic team, but we managed to persevere and prevent them from scoring (Thanks to GK Linda for keeping the score at 0-0 and making some great saves).

With seven minutes to go we found ourselves in a favourable position in their area and won a penalty. Withstanding the pressure, Ninke converted the penalty! After this, Oxford Universities heads dropped, and we capitalised by grabbing another quick goal when Jill played a ball to Camilla who slid the ball into Caitlin who converted the chance.

We retired to enjoy chicken curry, veg and rice teas with ring doughnuts for afters!  A memorable game with joint Players of the match: Linda - goalkeeper and Caitlin. Thanks to our side line supporters too!
