Oxford Hawks Women’s 6’s vs Milton Keynes 3’s – 12.10.24

With only 12 players at pushback, we thought we may be in for a tough game, but we quickly proved that we weren’t fazed. Right from the get go the 6s brought intensity and a willingness to win, showing Milton Keynes what we were made of!

We worked hard to keep the ball in our half with smooth transfers from the defense, strong connections between the mids, and a well-structured press. After a couple of short corners to get into the flow, our first goal came with a powerful hit from Nynke that flew past the goalie and into the backboard.

Fueled by jelly babies, we went into the second half eager to extend our lead. Our super sub Natalie arrived at halftime making an immediate impact, scoring with a strong slap right into the backboard from another well executed short.

We kept up the pressure until the final whistle, and did ourselves very proud really earning the win! While a few POM votes were dotted around, the overwhelming majority were for Nynke who had such a strong game and a fabulous goal!
