Ladies’ 7s in high scoring game

On a wet Saturday morning, Ladies’ 7s faced a very organised and lively Aylesbury. They scored in the first 10 minutes and Liv managed to get a goal straight after. Unfortunately, they struck back almost immediately, but Linda managed to get a goal before the half time. However, they squeezed in two goals before the half time whistle.
After a good team talk, we strengthened our marking and our third goal was made by Helen, running straight up the middle, and slipping it into the goal. they managed to get another goal but Helen, persistently got a goal from the corner. They proceeded to get one more goal, leaving Hawks to win the second half. Unfortunately we didn’t win but it was our best game of the season with lots of communication and teamwork from everyone. The final score was 5-4 to Aylesbury.
There were many nominations for Player of the Match, but the winners were Niv and Shan jointly.
