Oxford Hawks Boys U14’s Vs Amersham & Chalfont – 13.10.24

The Boys U14s took on Amersham & Chalfont on Sunday. The team benefitted from a pre match strategy session and guidance on defensive corners from our M1 keeper - thanks, Ben!

The game was hard fought throughout with Hawks charging out of the blocks and a goal from Harry Taylor less than 2 minutes into the match. A&C responded by piling on the pressure and equalised to bring the score to 1-1 at half time.

A more settled performance from Hawks in the second half and some stellar saves from goalie, Ahmed (POM), could not prevent the winning goal from A&C shortly before the final whistle.

The squad should be proud of a much improved performance early in the season. They displayed lots of grit and determination and there is, undoubtedly, more of that to come!
