Ladies’ 6s in good game with Oxford 4s

Despite being 4 goals down at half time and a final score of 1-5, the Ladies 6s had some memorable moments in their local derby game against Oxford 4s. As reminisced by those in the team on the day, these included:

• Jan’s stunning block tackle in the centre of the pitch.
• Becky’s side line ball to Caitlin, which was deflected into Monica at top of the D.
• Monica’s passes as right inner to Hannah on the forward line.
• The way the new players settled into the team by the end of the second half.
• GK Linda’s words of wisdom at the halftime team talk - well we did draw the second half!
• Caroline’s choice in home baked cakes for after match banter time.
• The beautiful connections that led to Cat’s cracking goal/Cat’s strike has to be top of the list.

Votes for the player of the match went to Cat, Jess, Jan, Linda B, Monica, Sophie and Katie but no real surprises that our Cat received most votes and was our player of the match.
