Ladies 8s battle away at Witney

Witney scored the first goal with a short corner. Oling scored a goal to make it 1-1 shortly after. The first half ended with another short corner goal from Witney. We went into half time at 2-1.
Going into the second half, the Ladies 8s used both sides to attack. Great play from Helen and Jess. A lot of good running and both had a couple near misses at the goal.
The goalie Niv played an amazing game along with Deborah and Gill clearing a lot of danger. The game felt like more of a 50/50 but unfortunately Witney had better shots at goal. They also had more players and towards the end our tiredness shoed. The final score was 5-1 to Witney. It was great effort from everyone. There were nominations for Player of the Match for Deborah, Hannah, Jess and Oling, but Helen, who had an excellent game, won the Player of the Match.
