Ladies’ 5s secure 3 points against Leighton Buzzard

After a slow start on the renowned sandy bouncy pitch, where last season the L5s performed miserably,  the team continued this season's winning form with a 5-1 win over Leighton Buzzard 3s.

The 5s dominated with the possession of the ball which allowed for some close chances at goal early on in the game, but were denied by some solid defence from Leighton 3s. However with a strong attacking play from our mids and forwards, the 5s managed to secure two goals from Oling and Cat to bring them 2-0 up before half time.

The second half was much better for the 5s with linking play and incredible ball skill from Lydia in the middle which meant we came back even stronger with 1 goal from Camilla and 2 goals from Cat. A momentary lapse of concentration at the 69th minute meant Leighton Buzzard secured a goal to end the game 5-1 to ladies 5s.

An overall successful game and although many were nominated, Holly was awarded Player of the Match. Special shout-out for the excellent umpires.
