Ladies’ 5s lose to Amersham & Chalfont

First league match back was intense and action packed for L5s. AC started the game strong, with lots of attack and Hawks soaked up lots of pressure during the first half, defending against goals but struggling to outlet and hold the ball in their attacking third. After lots of attacking pressure, AC scored the first goal - on a break with a lucky touch just outside the D.

Hawks lifted their game in the second half, taking care on the ball, plenty of effective transfers and great distribution which opened up space across the pitch. Great attack play both ways. Hawks defended successfully 6 short corners with no goals conceded. Hawks looked dangerous on a number of occasions, brilliantly linking up moving forwards and into the D - playing great as an attacking team which was newly formed for this match! Shots on goal from Nynke, Cat, Sherene. Neither team scored second half despite lots of attack both ways so final score line 0-1 to AC.
