Ladies’ 2s win away at Wycombe

The day started with sunshine, until we stepped onto the pitch and found we were running in mud. The changing room echoed with voices of unintentional orange tans and late arrivals. Bex showed us her old stomping ground on the warm up.
We held possession but Wycombe scored first from a short corner, unluckily went through Charlie’s legs and the ball back spinned before a tap in. Sandra then decided a goal was needed, it was powered from the back line through Kirby and moved into the D and in the goal. A flick was then awarded. Odders stepped up, and scored. We were then on a roll, Sandra drove another ball down the left baseline, crossed to Flick, half volley into the back board. A flick was then awarded in favour to Wycombe. Heroically saved by Charlie. The game ended on a high with a conversion from a corner (finally) by Helen. The game ended 1-4. MOM went to Charlie and DOD went to Katie.
