It was an misty early morning at BRN for the 5s first league match of the season. After a productive warm up we were ready to go. We started well, dominating possession and Rebecca Black scoring the first goal within 15 mins. Against the run of play, we allowed them to equalise. However, we didn't let this phase us, scoring 2 more before half time from Rebecca again and Kelly.

Bicester came out fighting in the 2nd half but we absorbed the pressure and defended well. We played some excellent team hockey which culminated in our final goal. The play started in defence, was transferred around the back, into the midfield, out wide and then in from Rebecca to complete her hat trick. Our Player of the Match was Minty for some amazing midfield play and running rings around the opposition. All in all it was a great start to the season and hopefully a sign of things to come for the 5s this year.
