Oxford Hawks Men’s 7’s vs Milton Keynes 5s – 19.10.24

Pre match warm up including car park loto and hunt the missing shirt bag done the new formation of the M7s won the toss and took to the field. First 15 mins started well, the Sutcliffe trio passing and distributing the ball well. Several forays into the D and several attempts on goal looked very promising. It then all started going downhill, like the car park situation we started going round in circle's failing to find any free space and becoming very frustrated. MK took advantage driving shots down the middle, only great direction from Tim kept them from getting any shots on goal. 2nd half started just the same and MK driving hard into our half, again defending was solid. Champagne moment from Billers as he dribbled the ball out of the D around 3 attackers with silky smooth skills, pushing it up to the front line. This was the turning point, we started to show the ‘right stuff’ we had at the start of the game. Driving hard into MK’s half with accurate passes we had several shots on goal.

With time running out and the car park emptying our joint captain found a space and parked the ball into the back of the net with 30 seconds to go. MOM Andy, had to be! Thanks to Andy and Jack for umpiring.
