Season 2023-2024
Ladies’ 7s were good, Abingdon were better
Published on 13th Jan, 2024
Hawks Ladies’ 7s made the trip to Abingdon on a chilly morning to face a strong second team.
Hawks kept it tight in the first half thanks to some good saves from Helena and a strong rear guard defensive performance.
The home team eventually went into half time with a 1-0 lead.
In the second half Hawks looked to push the game from out of their own half with a big push from the midfield but chances were limited. As the game progressed Abingdon created more chances and managed to convert 2 more chances to take the game 3-0. A spirited performance from Hawks against a strong opposition.
Player of the match went to a strong positive display by Kim. There were also nominations for Anoushka, Helena, Flora and Charlotte.
