Season 2023-2024
Ladies’ 7s in attacking mode against Oxford 6s
Published on 21st Jan, 2024
On a bitter Saturday morning Hawks had a lively start with Liv missing the goal by millimetres and Jess narrowly missing a one-on-one with the goalie.
Oxford piled on the pressure and were rewarded with two good goals. Though many of their attempts were thwarted by a strong Hawks defence and some excellent saves.
It was 2-0 at half term when Hawks had an enthusiastic discussion on who was going to mark number 4!
Hawks then dominated the second half with numerous shots on goal and some very narrow misses, while Oxford scarcely got into their attacking half.
Hawks played brilliantly as a team - reflected in the number of players nominated for player of the match: Flora, Emily (GK), Ros and Anoushka. The winner was Bella who, as CH, played some terrific hockey and kept us all working well together.
