L5s FAIL TO MAKE IT A 6 POINTER WEEKEND – BUT NO DEFEATS!!

Fresh from their Saturday success, Hawks Ladies 5s were hoping for a positive result on a sunny afternoon in Bicester. Unfortunately, a San Marino versus England type start meant we were playing catch up within the first minute. Some doggedly persistent play led to Sherene turning in our first goal of the day (and the 5^th of 6 in total for her personal weekend tally). Hawks then began to string some passes together; a slick move out of defence down the right side culminating in a superb team goal – fortunately Sherene was there again - with the correct stick in hand.

Some rather scrappy play and a freak mishit led to a Bicester equaliser. Despite waves of pressure in the second half, including a series of short corners, Hawks were unable to grab a winner and had to settle for a draw.

Congratulations to Masha for her PoM performance – some powerful running with the ball – requiring some dubious methods on occasion to halt progress!
