Young Leaders

At Oxford Hawks we recognise the value that the game of Hockey can bring young people, not just from a playing perspective but also Coaching, Umpiring and managing within the game.

As such we offer a Young Leaders programme which is a 3-day England Hockey accredited course for 13-17 year olds which covers:

• Introduction to leadership
• Delivering Hockey
• Umpiring hockey
• Organising a festival
• Managing Hockey

We have a number of Young Leader’s that help support our Junior coaches on a Sunday morning, all of who must have completed, or be booked onto, the above course. This ensures that all members have a positive experience from all our coaching workforce.
